Ingredients

  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • 2 cups of water
  • 1-inch ginger
  • 2–3 garlic cloves, peeled
  • 5–7 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoons cornstarch
  • Sesame seeds, spring onions (optional)

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1

In a blender, add soy sauce, water, ginger, garlic, sugar, and cornstarch.

Step 2

Blend until smooth. Taste and adjust.

Step 3

Transfer mixture to pan and heat until thick. (Add more water if it gets too thick.)

Step 4

Remove from heat. Add sesame seeds and spring onions.
